Tildenville is an unincorporated Orange County community strung along Old Winter Garden Road between Oakland and Winter Garden, about 1.7 miles from the Briley Avenue address. It has no municipal building department of its own, so permits and inspections for properties here run through Orange County rather than a city hall.
The housing is a mix of older single-family homes on generous lots and small pockets of newer building, which means water heaters turn up in garages, utility rooms and the occasional outbuilding converted into living space. Older plumbing and older electrical circuits are more common here than in the subdivisions to the east, and both matter when a unit is being replaced rather than repaired.
The hard-water conditions that affect the rest of west Orange County apply here as well, so flushing and anode checks are the maintenance items that decide how long a tank lasts.
